Course Description:
Agriculture continues to be identified as a high-risk occupation–ranked in the top three most dangerous industries in the United States and internationally. Rural healthcare providers often do not understand the diverse culture of the working population in their care, or the hazardous exposures and many safety issues that accompany the work.
Join this webinar to gain nursing knowledge and information that will enhance care, community education, and integration of agricultural health issues. Occupational health nurse support can increase the wellness and safety levels in agricultural communities.
Course Outcomes:
1. Participants will be able to identify a minimum of five specific signs and symptoms related to agricultural work exposures.
2. Participants will be able to discuss at least four of the unique cultural aspects related to agricultural work, community, and family.
3. Participants will be able to access a minimum of four evidence-based resources that relate to agricultural occupational health.
